A chiropodist is a licensed foot care specialist that focuses on the assessment, diagnosis , treatment, and prevention of foot and lower limb conditions. 

There are 26 bones, 33 joints, 100 muscles/tendons, ligaments, in the foot that hold the structure together. Comprising of numerous arteries, nerves, and veins that provide sensation and blood flow to the feet.
