Corns and Calluses

Corns and Calluses may develop as a result of excessive pressure on certain areas of the feet.

Corns and calluses are thickened, hardened layers of skin that develop as a response to repeated friction, pressure, or irritation. They are the body’s way of protecting the underlying skin and tissues. However, if they are left untreated, they can become painful and may lead to skin breakdown.

  2. Abnormal biomechanics

  3. Fat pad atrophy

  4. Lack of cushioning in footwear - walking barefoot or in steel toed boots
